Rural Community Infrastructure Grants – Due to open 1 December 2023.

This funding has been provided by the Rural England Prosperity Fund to support projects in rural areas, this means that we can only fund projects outside of Bexhill and surrounding area. Please note, the Rother Community Grants scheme is available for organisations based in all of Rother including Bexhill, and opens for applications from 1 October – 30 November 2023.

We have a total of £100,000 for this fund until March 2025. Applications will be awarded on a first come first served basis, until the total budget has been awarded.

Projects need to be delivered by March 2025 and comply with the grant eligibility.

What will we fund?

The levelling up objectives for this funding is to strengthen our social fabric and fostering a sense of local pride and belonging in Rother, through investment in activities that enhance physical, cultural and social ties and amenities, however we also want to ensure that projects meet local objectives, which should included in your application.

Example projects could be;

  • EV charging points for community use
  • Community energy schemes such as scaled up biomass, heat pumps or solar
  • Capital grants for kitchens in community hubs

Applications to the scheme are welcomed from properly constituted organisations for services and activities which benefit the residents of Rother.

Permissions should be obtained prior to making an application, in particular Planning Permission or Building Regulations approval.

We strongly advise reading the Eligibility page before making an application.

What grants are available?
